RayFire Animation
process:
original idea:
1 have the giant punsh the ground to cause earthquake
2 let pieces of concrete ripple towards our hero
3 let the hero jump away in time, stand up and throw back a piece of the broken stone
4 giant gets hit and falls into the building next to him
5 make that building collapse
I ended up only doing 1 to 3 due to time reasons, but i did add some other things like the barrel in the background almost getting knocked over, and the streetlight being displaced.
next to use of rayfire and interactions with the rubble, I also focussed on the way the camera moves (to create a dynamic scene), and also to animate the characters as natrural as possible (making them not stand completley still when doing nothing, and adding a sense of weight to the animation etc.).
overall I'm happy with the result, but I greatly failed in the rendering process.
